Who is CELTA for?

CELTA is the best known and most widely used pre-service training course in the world, and enjoys recognition internationally. It qualifies trainees to teach English as a foreign language anywhere in the world.

EITHER

100% asynchronous using the Cambridge Platform (for all Input Sessions) and, of course, all the Teaching Practices happening synchronously (usually via Zoom) and local tutors observing the TPs and giving feedback.

OR

100% synchronous with everything taught by the local tutors without using the Cambridge Platform.

That being said, the course at SPOC has the best of both worlds: we do have the Cambridge Platform as a constant support (it is an excellent tool to organize the portfolio you will be assembling throughout the course) and offering you loads of high-quality video content (input sessions, experienced teacher lessons, etc.). Moreover, we also have WEEKLY input sessions with our local tutors to guide you through this journey.
